Tea Tree Oil In More Detail
Avre products can be used by every member of the family for many, many applications. The products are therapeutic and do not compete with other skincare products. No home or salon should be without Australian Tea Tree Oil products.
There are many other uses for Tea Tree Oil, but if one remembers that it is a broad based spectrum product, destroying Positive Bacteria, Negative Bacteria and Fungi and therefore can be used to treat so many skin conditions - most of which can be related to the above.
Tea Tree Oil should never be used instead of treatment a physician has prescribed, unless receiving Medical Permission.
With any Medication you should consult a physician.
Abrasions Antiseptic to kill bacteria and promote healing. Wash thoroughly then apply 2 to 3 times daily with a cotton bud or ball
Acne - Antiseptic, bactericide and pus solvent. Apply directly 2 to 3 times daily with a cotton bud. Use in conjunction with Avre Toner. For large areas, blend with water (1 part oil to 10 parts water)
Ingrown Hair Pustules - Apply directly onto pustule 2 - 3 times daily
Athletes Foot (Tinea) - Fungicide to kill the fungus. Apply directly followed by Antiseptic Hand & Body Lotion 1 - 3 times daily for up to 2 weeks To prevent re-infection: apply Tea Tree Oil neat after going barefoot in public places. Always remove dead skin between toes. Rub mix of 1 teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda and 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil mixed with water between toes.
Thrush (Candida
Albicans) - Fungicide to kill the fungus. Apply to dampened tampon and keep in overnight. Use 1 part oil to 20 parts water.

Paronychia (Nail Fungus) - Apply directly onto infected area, 2 - 3 times daily
Insect Bites/Stings - Anaesthetic qualities take sting out and bactericide prevents infection. Apply immediately for soothing relief
Insect Repellent - Mix 1 part oil to 10 parts water and spray over before going out in the evening.
Cold Sores - A cold sore is the infected symptom of the virus and Tea Tree Oil will kill the infection. Apply immediately when cold sore begins. Use 3 to 4 times daily for up to 5 days
Minor Burns - Useful for burns - anaesthetic takes pain out, bactericide prevents infection and stimulation of the circulation speeds up healing. Flush burn with cold water until pain has gone then apply pure oil. May be dilute with water 1 -10
Muscular Aches - Stimulate the circulation therefore bringing oxygen and nutrients to the area and removing toxins and lactic acids. Rub into affected areas for temporary relief. Also apply before and after exercise. If desired, add 5mls (1 teaspoon) to a hot bath.
Nasal/Bronchial/Sinus Congestion - Dilute 1 teaspoon in a vaporiser or steam bath for inhalation
Sore/Irritated Throats Fresh Breath - Problems caused by bacteria in the throat and mouth, Tea Tree Oil is a bactericide and kills the bacteria that cause the problem. Add 4 drops to 25mls of warm water and gargle 2 - 3 times daily
Toothache/Infected Gums (Gingivitis)/Mouth Ulcers - Use one end of a cotton bud to dry saliva as products cannot penetrate this digestive juice. Use the other end to apply Tea Tree Oil directly to the affected gums twice daily for up to 7 days.
Leg Ulcers - Use neat or in a bath for people suffering with leg ulcers
Teeth Brushing & Flossing - Apply a couple of drops on toothbrush, then apply toothpaste and brush to help remove plaque and stains. Run or soak the dental floss through pure Tea Tree Oil and floss as normal to help kill bacteria between teeth and gums
Stress - Add 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil and 10 drops of Lavender Oil to a warm bath and soak for at least 10 minutes
Oil Burner - Burn 10 drops of Tea Tree Oil to clear the air and help fight/prevent infection. Helps build immunity
Telephone - Use Tea Tree Oil on a cloth to wipe over the telephone to remove and help prevent cross infection
Whiter Teeth - Add 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil onto the toothpaste and brush teeth as usual. Use daily for 1 week and then once a week for maintenance.
Stained Teeth - Use ½ teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda, a pinch of salt and 2 drops of Tea Tree Oil - mix to a paste and apply
Bruised unbroken skin - Use 1 dessertspoon of Witch Hazel and 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil. Apply as soon after the knock as possible and apply cold compress.
Pierced Ears - Apply neat Tea Tree Oil on a cotton wool pad twice daily to keep clean then wipe over earrings before wearing
Body Brushing - Use a natural bristle brush in firm strokes towards the heart to encourage the body to release toxins and increase circulation. Then step into a warm bath with 20 drops of Tea Tree Oil, Pat the skin dry and apply Hand and Body Lotion.
Tiredness/Loss of Hair - Massage scalp with fingertips lightly moisten with 1 teaspoon of Grapeseed Oil and 3 drops of Tea Tree Oil
Eczema - Soak in a warm bath with 10 - 15 drops of Tea Tree Oil. Soak 10 - 15 minutes daily until there is an improvement seen and then twice weekly.
Cellulite - Massage thighs/buttocks etc. twice daily with a mixture of 20 drops Tea Tree Oil, 10 drops Juniper Oil and 20 ml Sweet Almond Oil (and use Body Brushing)
Pets - Antiseptic at the correct strength kills fleas and ticks. For general pet care and treatment for fleas, ticks, bites etc. eczema and mange, add 5 - 10 drops to the shampoo and leave for 3 - 4 minutes and then rinse
Air Freshener - Use 10ml of Tea Tree Oil to 1Lt of water in a ceramic plant spray bottle, Shake and spray in the room for germ free air - helps to stop the spread of colds etc. It also makes the room smell very fresh and clean
